Author Guidelines

Articles submitted to Jurnal Syar'ie (JS) must be the result of research or critical analysis, or literature studies that meet scientific writing standards (observing the rules of the Indonesian Spelling System (EYD) contained in the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling) and have never been published in any media. Articles must be based on the focus and scope of Jurnal Syar'ie (JS).

General Writing Format

  1. Articles are typed with single spacing. Each paragraph begins with a five-stroke indentation.
  2. Articles are written in Indonesian or English with a font size of 11 points, Times New Roman font type, and using B5 size paper.
  3. Writing margins: Top margin 2.5 cm, bottom, left, and right sides 3 cm.
  4. The length of the writing ranges between 12-14 pages.
  5. Pages, including references and appendices, must be numbered sequentially.
  6. Subheadings are written left-aligned in bold capital letters, using 11-point Corbel font.
  7. Each table or figure is given a letter. Table titles must represent the content of the table, and figures are written with center alignment. Sources for Tables and Figures must be included.

Manuscript preparation should consider the following matters:

  1. Title written in Indonesian;
  2. Author's Full Name (without titles);
  3. Name of Agency or Institution;
  4. Email;
  5. Short Title (if necessary);
  6. Abstract in Indonesian and English;
  7. Keywords in Indonesian and English;
  8. Introduction: includes background, problems, literature review including reviews of research from various literatures as well as basic theories supporting the research, and research objectives;
  9. Research Methods: includes materials, methods, and analysis in the research (if any);
  10. Results and Discussion: written continuously in one series of the manuscript;
  11. Conclusion;
  12. References: written using 11-point Corbel font.

Ethical Considerations

Authors submitting manuscripts to Jurnal Syar'ie (JS) are required to comply with the following publication ethics standards:

  1. Originality & Plagiarism: The manuscript must be an original work and free from plagiarism. JMS conducts a similarity check (Plagiarism Check) on every incoming manuscript.
  2. Authorship: All names listed must have made a significant contribution to the research and have approved the final version of the submitted manuscript.
  3. Conflict of Interest: Authors are required to declare that there are no conflicts of interest related to funding or professional relationships that could influence the objectivity of the research results.
  4. License & Copyright: By submitting a manuscript, the author agrees that the accepted manuscript will be published under a CC BY-SA 4.0 license, where the author retains full copyright.
  5. Policy Compliance: Authors are expected to carefully read all administrative policy details on the Journal Policies page before making a submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
